KT Abdurabb is a media professional with over 30 years of experience in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). His experience and understanding of the media landscape has enabled him to build an extensive network of connections in the GCC and India. He has gained experience in a variety of roles throughout his career, including media relations professional, editor, journalist, team leader, and radio program organizer.
Over the years, KT Abdurabb has worked on assignments, reporting, roadshows, and media projects, which have allowed him to establish relationships with journalists, media professionals, PR and government officials in the GCC and around the world.
He has held positions in organizations such as Hamriyah Free Zone Authority and Sharjah Airport International Free Zone, where he managed media relations and PR agencies. He later joined Larsen & Toubro as the head of media relations, and before that, he was the UAE editor for Arab News, an English-language daily in Saudi Arabia.

At L&T, KT Abdurabb’s role as the Head of Media Relations encompasses responsibilities such as maintaining relationships with journalists and media outlets, advising on strategic media issues, managing crisis responses, developing corporate announcements, and providing on-site media relations support. His expertise and contributions are instrumental in delivering impactful media campaigns, maintaining positive stakeholder relationships, and safeguarding the organization’s reputation in an ever-changing media landscape.
KT Abdurabb has also written for several newspapers in India, besides working for media organizations such as Khaleej Times, The Gulf Today, and Malayalam News.
He initiated and launched the Gulf’s first Malayalam radio program in Ras Al Khaimah in 1992.
More recently, he ideated the UAE’s first student-focused app-based digital radio program. He has edited two Malayalam books titled Salam football and Yaadon Ka Safar.
KT Abdurabb’s work in the media industry has been recognized with media awards, including the Dubai Government’s DSF Journalism Award in the GCC region in the best feature category in 2014.
